Nick had another surgery on his ankle a few weeks ago and the healing process has been a lot harder than what we expected. So I am taking care of him as much as I can and doing most of our daily chores. It's tough at times and makes me tired, but I do it because I love him! Now I finally found some time to write about our last camping trip of the year, to lake Don Pedro :)

We went there with Heather, Roman, Rebecca, Heather C, David and little David. It turned out to be our favorite place of the year! The camping site was seriously HUGE and had everything we needed. I think I might have been the only one who had never been there before. This was a place that Nick came to a lot as a kid, so it holds a lot of wonderful memories for him. Everyone went there a day earlier than us and we didn't get there until Saturday night. On our first evening we witnessed a gorgeous sunset and had a great time with our friends :) Me and Nick also got to use our 9 person tent! It had been months since we bought it, plus air mattresses. It sure was beautiful to lay there and watch the stars without the rain cover on. We couldn't believe our luck! It wasn't as easy sleeping there though. The air mattress was difficult to relax on and Nick woke up with his back being hella sore. When we arrived at this great place we actually discussed staying one more night, just him and me. But after Nick's bad back got even worse, we unfortunately had to give up on that idea. Next year we simply have to buy a better mattress and we'd also like to get bed sheets for it to make it extra comfy :)

Our new tent that took a while to set up but it was not impossible as long as two people were helping each other. It fits three queen size mattresses. In other words, this will be a perfect tent to keep for when we go camping with our future kids! Plus, we can put all of our food and things in there to keep it away from animals.

This is what we did for the most of the night. Just sat in a circle talking. That is one of my favorite things about camping. Everyone bonds. We rarely pick up our phones, no matter if there is a good connection or not. It's about growing closer and making awesome memories!
